Designing the backyard of your dreams is a collaborative process. At Fusion, we want to exceed your every expectation, so we encourage our clients to dream big. A design consultation begins with gathering information about your wants, needs, and of course, budget. Our design technician will then take a detailed survey of your property to identify lot dimensions, utility locations, access points and setbacks.

We pride ourselves on being able to deliver stunning one of a kind designs that are beautiful as well as functional on the most modest of budgets.

Architectural Design

Once we've gathered all necessary information, we go to work. Using what we've learned from our initial consultation, we put your imagination and our creativity on paper.

Fusion drafts designs to include all requested elements that the budget will allow and create a rendering of that concept drawn to scale. We include all landscape, hardscape, outdoor kitchen concepts and living spaces in our renderings to ensure every element is well represented before submitting for your approval.

Our clients satisfaction is our number one priority so we deliver the best and nothing less.

optional 3d rendering

When the architectural plan leaves you wondering whether or not your design will work in your space, 3D can help ease that concern.

For an additional fee, Fusion can take your architectural rendering and give it the 3D treatment. We can deliver a realistic design that includes landscape and hardscape elements adding depth and dimension to your imagination.

A 3D rendering is outsourced to professional modelers and can sometimes take up to 2 weeks for delivery. Please be advised that requesting a 3D rendering can delay start time on a project.

Contract Signing

Once our design is approved, contracts can be delivered. Contracts are a must for any construction project regardless of whether the project is new or a remodel. It outlines the services that are agreed upon and must be signed before breaking ground.

We walk our clients through every page in the contract to make sure that they understand exactly what installation methods, materials, expectations, timelines, protections, warranties and costs they can expect with their project.

pulling permits

The process of pulling permits is usually a smooth one. We only submit thoroughly evaluated architectural plans to city building departments and that makes all the difference in the world.

We pay attention to the details and don't cut corners because we want to make sure our plans are approved as fast as possible. Time is money after all and we don't like wasting it.

Our plans can usually be approved over the counter allowing Fusion Pool and Spa to break ground sometimes starting the very next day.

Site excavation

Breaking ground is always an exciting time at a new project. Grading and excavation start to shape your vision and give a real perspective of how different your backyard will soon become.

The time it takes to dig a pool can vary dependent on a few factors including soil type, weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances. We do our very best to create an accurate timeline but we also let our clients know that timelines are estimated to the best of our abilities.

Site preparation, excavation, grading and dirt removal are often the shortest parts of the construction process.

Steel Reinforcement

After the pool site has been excavated and all dirt has been removed, we make sure that your pool shell will be reinforced for strength and stability. Grade 60 #3 steel rebar is placed 3 inches above the the shaped form run vertically, horizontally and tied by hand throughout the entire shell of the pool.

This form ensures that shotcrete will completely encase the steel rebar shell and provide optimal support and reinforcement over the lifetime of the pool.

Plumbing installation

Plumbing for all pool and spa equipment, drainage lines, electrical conduit, return lines, and skimmers are next in line for installation.

The process of running lines and stubbing out usually takes no longer than one day for most backyard pools.

Once installed, all plumbing lines will be under pressure so Fusion makes certain that the materials used in the plumbing process will be able to withstand the force to prevent cracking and leaks.

Shotcrete application

After all rough plumbing is in place and the steel form is completely and accurately set shotcrete is sprayed to shape the floor of the pool. The compressive strength of the concrete applied is 4000psi and is a shot at a minimum thickness of 6 inches.

Because we believe our application process provides superior structural strength, Fusion Pool and Spa provides a 10 year warranty on every new pool structure we build.

Tile and coping

With the pool and spa structures completely set, Fusion can get started on the decorative finish of your new pool's edge, or coping.

We provide our clients with countless options to fit their vision. Different textures, colors and materials outlining the pool's edge can create a dramatic effect to the overall design so choosing the right material is imperative.

We provide our expertise every step of the way so you never have to worry about making a decision that you might regret later on.

HARDSCAPE AND decking

At Fusion we believe that a pool should compliment its environment not impose upon it. We make sure that the pools surrounding hardscape and deck remain a cohesive extension of the pools design and theme.

Colors, patterns, materials and amenities are all thought out and placed accordingly to create a cohesive design that will perfectly compliment your backyard living space.

Decking is always reinforced with steel rebar for strength and pavers are always placed on properly compacted base.

Pool Shell Finish

Like hardscape, a pool's interior coating can also have a dramatic effect on the overall design. Dark finishes work well with lagoon and vanishing edge pools, light finishes work well with lap and family fun pools, a pebble tec finish can enhance the appearance of a beach style pool and colored plaster can give you something completely different for the final phase in construction.

Besides the pool's overall theme, coatings can also effect your new pool's heat retention and/or reflection. Fusion can help you decide which finish will best fit your pool and backyard theme.

System start up and instruction

The wait is finally over and today is the day you can actually start enjoying your newly created backyard paradise.

Upon completion of the project and once your pool is completely filled, one of our professional Pool Technicians will walk you through a tour of your entire pool's system and their function.

You will learn all the necessary maintenance operations and how to troubleshoot problems that could occur. When technical issues do arise, Fusion is only a phone call away.
